Instagram offers a feature that allows users to view their past liked posts. Whether you want to go back to make sure you didn’t accidentally like someone’s post or just refer back to one, the option to check them is now accessible to users.
How to See Liked Posts on Instagram
Instagram keeps an archive of the posts you’ve liked buried in your settings. Getting to them is pretty simple, it’s just a few taps.
- Open the Instagram app.
- Click on your profile in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click the three horizontal line menu bar in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click on “Your activity.”
- Click on “Interactions.”
- Click on “Likes.”
This will show you all of the posts you have liked in the past. If you want to see some of the older posts that you liked, then click on the “Sort & Filter” option on the top right-hand side of the screen.
Fill in how you want to sort it, who the author (or creator) is, the start date of your likes, and the end date of your likes that you want to see.
If you’ve had Instagram for a long time, then chances are you’ll probably laugh at the old type of content that used to be put on Instagram.
How to See Liked Posts on Instagram on Desktop
Unfortunately, you’re only able to see the posts you’ve liked through the Instagram app. Instagram doesn’t offer the option for users to scroll through their past likes while using a desktop, so if you want to take part in this feature, you’ll have to do it from your mobile app.
How to Unlike Liked Posts on Instagram
While you’re scrolling through your past likes on Instagram, you might notice a few that you want to get rid of. Instagram’s made it easy for users to unlike several different posts at once, here’s how:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Click on your profile in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click the three horizontal line menu bar in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click on “Your activity.”
- Click on “Interactions.”
- Click on “Likes.”
- Click on “Select” in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- Select the posts you want to unlike.
- Click “Unlike” at the bottom of your screen.
Instagram will then remove these posts from your liked posts list.
How to Hide Likes on Instagram

- Click your profile icon in the bottom right-hand corner.
- Click the photo you want to hide likes on.
