  • First stage: awareness/attention – where your customers first find out about your brand.
  • Second stage: consideration/interest – when customers show an interest in your brand and consider wanting to take it a step further with you instead of your competitors.
  • Third stage: desire – after catching your customer’s attention, at this stage they are also considering making a purchase. It isn’t set in stone at this point, there are still some things your customer needs to figure out. 
  • Fourth stage: action – this stage is where the magic happens. During the action stage, you’re ready to get your customer on your side with buying your product. The key is to not stop at that but to ensure that the product you’re handing over will set them up for success and will ensure your customer will be back.

Sometimes you’ll hear different names for funnels, but they all mean the same thing. No matter if you see them being called sales funnels, video marketing funnels, webinar funnels, or email funnels, they all track the steps a customer takes to the final conversion.
